CTOnews.com, September 4 (Xinhua) as engineers of the 68th and 69th Expedition of the International Space Station, the four astronauts of the NASA Crew-6 mission have now completed their 186-day mission and returned to Earth, their first long-term space mission on the International Space Station.

The Crew-6 crew, which included Stephen Bowen and Warren "Woody" Hoburg from NASA, as well as Andrey Fedyaev from Sultan AlNeyadi in the United Arab Emirates and Roscosmos in Russia, completed a splash fall in the Atlantic Ocean near Jack Neville, Florida at 12:17 local time, of which only Bowen had previous space flight experience.

"I've been to space, but I've never been on a long mission. It was definitely an incredible experience, and it was a process accompanied by my great teammates."

It is reported that they had planned to return to Earth on Sunday morning (September 3), but due to bad weather conditions, they had no choice but to stay in orbit for another day.

"in our Crew-6, we did three spacewalks. During that time we docked a Cygnus (cargo ship). We have done a lot of maintenance work and hope that when we leave the space station it will be better than when we came," Warren said.

For AlNeyadi, the flight was not only his first, but also the first long-term expedition by Arabs and UAE. He is the second astronaut in the United Arab Emirates (the first Arab to go into space is Prince Sultan Al Saud of Saudi Arabia).

"We've been in contact with people all over the world, so it's really amazing-especially for me," AlNeyadi said. "I come from a place where manned space flight has stalled for more than 30 years, and I feel obliged to show people what's going on at the space station."

Fedyaev is the second Russian astronaut and the first Russian astronaut in history to make a special water landing. He took the SpaceX Dragon spaceship because of the seat exchange agreement between NASA and Roscosmos.
