CTOnews.com, Sept. 4, Microsoft recently prepared a new firmware for Surface Laptop 4 notebooks with Intel processors. The August 2023 update introduced a security vulnerability patch and fixed a problem when charging via USB-C.

The specific version number of the firmware is 8.201.139.0, and the user can find the new firmware in the set Windows update. Note that Surface firmware updates cannot be undone or rolled back after installation, so CTOnews.com recommends backing up important data before installing firmware updates.

It is worth mentioning that this is the second firmware update for the Surface Laptop 4 Intel processor version in August. A few weeks ago, Microsoft released a new set of drivers to improve Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
