The official said,"RE ENGINE is further developing to meet the challenges of various game types," except in "Resident Evil 4 Remake Edition,""Street Fighter 6,""Dinosaur Catastrophe." In addition to its role in games such as EXOPRIMAL and Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, the engine will also support new platforms, although officials have not disclosed the specific new platforms on which the engine will land.
It is reported that the conference will inform developers of the game engine design concept, function and tool implementation and the professional knowledge required to operate the internal engine. It will last for two days and will be held from October 26 to October 27 this year. Small partners interested in RE engine can register on the website and participate in the conference online.

The RE engine was created in 2014 at the beginning of Resident Evil 7's development, and was designed with Resident Evil 7's linear nature in mind to improve the efficiency of game development.
The reason the team didn't choose a third-party engine was that "highly versatile engines developed by other companies weren't suitable" for games like Resident Evil 7. Capcom's previous engine MT Framework was eventually evaluated and cancelled due to slow development tools and was not used for the project.
Capcom Development Division 1 head Jun Takeuchi previously said: "We have to rethink the way we make games. For global mainstream asset-based development (graphics and 3D model elements), we started developing a new RE engine."
