CTOnews.com Sept. 3, TrendForce Jibang official account released its global auto sales report for July. Figures show that car sales in 37 markets around the world totaled 5.44 million units in July 2023, down 10 per cent in July after a high base period in June.

CTOnews.com learned from the chart that the market share of the top 10 car brands by sales totaled 50.7%, an increase of 2.3% from June, and the brand concentration of head car companies further increased in July.

Sales in the United States rose month by month after inventory rebounded, and the performance in the Japanese market was stable, but the domestic market was lower than the previous month.

Second place Volkswagen (Volkswagen) accounted for 6.6%. Sales in July fell 13% from June, mainly due to a decline in sales in Europe and the domestic market.

Third and fourth were Honda (Honda) and Ford (Ford), both of which sold slightly less in July than in June.

The fifth place is BYD. At present, BYD is still dominated by the Chinese market, but recently it has begun to develop the Southeast Asian market and is expected to continue to catch up from behind.
