CTOnews.com Sept. 3, Italian car brand Bizzarrini launched the classic 5300 GT supercar in 1964. Now the brand has been reborn and the first pictures of the new supercar Giotto have been released. The car uses a mid-built V12 engine and is a tribute to the 5300 GT.

The Giotto engine, developed with the assistance of Cosworth, has a 6626cc displacement and matches an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. This is exactly the same as the date of birth of Giotto Bizzarrini, the founder of Bizzarrini, on June 6, 1926. The exact power of the engine has not yet been announced, but Bizzarrini says it meets all global emission regulations while ensuring driving fun and handling.

CTOnews.com noted that Giotto's design also draws on many elements of 5300 GT and has been reinterpreted in a modern way. For example, the double vents on the hood and front bumper, the circumferential rear window, and the triangular B-post are all original features of the 5300 GT. In addition, the Giotto is equipped with an F1-inspired biwing front lip and a fixed full-width rear spoiler to increase downforce on the road and track.

Chris Porritt, technical director of Bizzarrini, said: "We have a clear vision for Giotto, not to pursue lap times or acceleration records, but to pursue emotional communication between drivers and passengers." Porritt used to be vice president of engineering at Tesla and has worked at Ford and Aston Martin. The senior team of Bizzarrini are all senior figures from the automobile industry.

The Giotto will begin road testing in 2024, and officials have not yet disclosed the price or launch date of the car.
