CTOnews.com, September 2 (Xinhua)-- the European Space Agency (ESA) issued a report postponing the hot test of the Ariana 6 rocket at the Kourou Space launch Center in French Guiana due to technical problems with the console that controls critical fluid operations (launcher filling and automatic countdown). "experts are working on solutions, and the next attempt is scheduled for September 5, 2023."

Earlier this month, the chief executive of France's Ariana Aerospace confirmed that the first launch of the new Ariana 6 heavy rocket would take place in 2024.

CTOnews.com noted that Ariana 6 was originally scheduled to start flying in 2020 to replace the aging Ariana 5. The Ariana 5 rocket, which is now retired and launched for the last time in July, coupled with the suspension of the Vega-C carrier rocket after its failure last year, means Europe is currently unable to enter space on its own.
