Samsung shares rose 6% on the good news, the highest one-day increase since January 2021.

It is reported that due to the explosion of the AI industry, Nvidia's acceleration card demand is very large, currently mainly using SK Hynix, Samsung to join the HBM3 supply chain, can further alleviate the situation that supply exceeds demand. In fact, Samsung is still the largest storage supplier, especially in HBM3, ahead of SK Hynix.

CTOnews.com previously reported that AMD has reached an agreement with Samsung Electronics that Samsung's HBM3 memory and packaging technology will be adopted by AMD MI300X GPU, and foreign media expect Samsung Electronics to gain 50 per cent of the HBM market next year.
