In terms of power, the new car adopts a 1.5T plug-in system, equipped with dual motors of the first 160kW / 200kW, with a maximum torque of 720N ·m, a maximum speed of 200km/h and a zero acceleration of 4.8s. In addition, the car carries Baidu Apollo pilot-assisted intelligent driving, which claims to be "intelligent evolution closer to autopilot".

Late last month, according to official information, the model went on sale with more than 10,000 orders a week. 51 per cent of these orders came from old owners of Lantu; 35 per cent were replaced by BBA owners; and 14 per cent of other owners bought the new Lantu FREE.

Lu Fang, CEO of Lantu Automobile, also said that the pricing of the new Lantu FREE model is "based on the market", and the positioning of Lantu's "high-end electric car brand" remains unchanged. Each model has a different competitive situation and target customer base, and the pricing of the new Lantu FREE does not affect the pricing of other models.
