CTOnews.com Sept. 1 news, Sony PlayStation official blog update notice today, PS5 streaming handset PlayStation Portal Remote Play will be officially released on November 15, 2023.

Orders are currently accepted on the direct.playstation.com websites of the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and from September 29, 2023, the equipment can be pre-ordered at designated retailers in these countries, as well as Canada, Japan and other places. Officials say the supply situation in other countries and regions will be announced "in the future".

Comprehensive CTOnews.com previously reported that Sony launched the phone, previously codenamed "Project Q", on August 23, priced at 29980 yen (currently about 1496 yuan). The device can stream with PS5, has an 8-inch LCD screen, provides 1080p resolution at 60 fps, and the handle supports adaptive trigger and tactile feedback.

Sony said: the PlayStation Portal is the perfect device for family gamers who may need to share a living room TV or just want to play PS5 games in another room of the house, while the PlayStation Portal can be remotely connected to PS5 through Wi-Fi, so players can easily transfer the games they are playing from the PS5 to the PlayStation Portal.

According to reports, PlayStation Portal can play "supported games" installed on PS5 hosts.

It is equipped with a dedicated Dualsense controller and includes a 3.5mm headphone Jack for wired audio. It does not support PS VR2 games that require headphones and games transmitted through PlayStation Plus Premium cloud streams.
