CTOnews.com September 1, 2023-Research firm Statcounter has released its September 2023 report, revealing the latest statistics about browsers.

Among all platforms:

Chrome ranked first in August with 63.56% global share, up 0.01 percentage point from 63.55% market share the previous month.

Safari ranked second in August with a global share of 19.85 percent, down 0.10 percentage points from the previous month's 19.95 percent market share.

Edge ranked third in August with a global share of 5.43 percent, up 0.29 percentage points from 5.14 percent the previous month.

Firefox ranked fourth in August with a global share of 2.94 percent, up 0.15 percentage points from 2.79 percent the previous month.

Opera, Samsung browser, UC browser, etc. divided the remaining market share

On the desktop side:

Chrome ranked first in August with 63.52% global share, up 0.19 percentage points from 63.33% market share the previous month.

Safari ranked second in August with a global share of 13.02 percent, down 0.11 percentage points from 13.13 percent the previous month.

Edge ranked third in August with a global share of 11.15 percent, up 0.39 percentage points from 10.76 percent the previous month.

Firefox ranked fourth in August with a global share of 6.18 percent, up 0.22 percentage points from 5.96 percent the previous month.

Opera, 360 Security Browser, IE, etc. divided the remaining market share

On the phone:

Chrome ranked first in August with 64.66% global share, down 0.13 percentage points from 64.79% market share the previous month.

Safari ranked second in August with a global share of 24.95 percent, up 0.16 percentage points from 24.79 percent the previous month.

Samsung Browser ranked third in August with a global share of 4.29 percent, down 0.01 percentage point from 4.3 percent the previous month.

Opera ranked fourth in August with a global share of 2.04 percent, up 0.10 percentage points from 1.94 percent the previous month.

UC browser, Android browser, Firefox, etc. divided the remaining market share
