This decision means that RAM brand super pickup TRX (commonly known as "Tyrannosaurus rex" in China) will no longer carry the powerful HEMI HELLCAT engine, for which RAM has launched a limited edition final version to bid farewell to this legendary powertrain.

The RAM TRX is a pickup truck designed for off-road and performance, and since its debut in 2020, it has won fans over with its amazing 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, as well as its ability to accelerate from rest to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The model is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, also known as the HEMI HELLCAT engine, a high-performance engine that is popular on models such as the Dodge Challenger. However, after 2024, this engine will no longer be in production and will be replaced by a twin-turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine called Hurricane6.

To commemorate the glorious history of TRX and HEMI HELLCAT engines, RAM brand decided to launch a RAM 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 - Final Edition model in the third quarter of this year. The model will be available in eight exterior color options, three of which are exclusive new colors (Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue and Harvest sunrise). In addition, the model will be equipped with unique design elements, such as standard anti-ring rims, TRX body pull, bronze interior stitching, final dashboard start-up screen, carbon fiber interior panel, etc. In addition, the car will continue to offer 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio, head-up display, streaming interior mirrors and 8-way electrically adjustable front seats.

In terms of power, the final version of Tyrannosaurus Rex continues to be equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine with a maximum power of 702 hp, a maximum torque of 881 N·m, a maximum speed of 190 km/h, an acceleration time of 4.5 seconds from 0-96 km/h, and an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Ultimate TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 - Final Edition starts at $117625 in the U.S.(CTOnews.com notes: currently about 857,000 yuan, excluding destination fees), which may be the last chance for those eager to own a HEMI HELLCAT engine-powered super pickup truck.

According to the RAM brand, although the current Tyrannosaurus Rex model is about to be discontinued, the RAM 1500 high-performance series will continue to be launched in the future. According to foreign media sources, the new RAM 1500 model is scheduled to be launched in 2024 and offers a new Hurricane series 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder high-power twin turbocharged engine.
