CTOnews.com, August 31, according to the latest data released by Data.ai and IDC, it is estimated that players will spend $191 billion in 2023 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1.39 trillion yuan), of which mobile games spend $108 billion (currently about 787.32 billion yuan), accounting for 55 percent.

According to the report, console players are expected to spend $43 billion this year (currently about 313.47 billion yuan); PC players are expected to spend $40 billion (currently about 291.6 billion yuan); and portable game handsets represented by Nintendo Switch Lite and Valve's Steam Deck, players expect to spend about $3 billion.

The report says the fastest growing industry is the cloud gaming industry. IDC estimates that players will spend $3.8 billion in 2023, an increase of 50% over the same period last year, with more than 60 million monthly active users worldwide.

The report says Nintendo sold more than 21 million Switch Lite handsets in the first quarter of 2023; Valve's Steam Deck handsets are approaching 2 million.
