CTOnews.com, August 31 (Xinhua)-- Samsung recently launched a food planning and advice platform called Samsung Food in 104 countries and regions, based on Whisk acquired by Samsung's Next division in 2019.

Samsung said the platform has more than 160000 recipes in eight languages, including English, Spanish, Korean, German, French and Italian. Samsung points out that the platform, like Whisk, allows users to search recipes, create shopping lists, make meal plans and follow the creators who publish recipes.

Users can save recipes and add ingredients to the shopping list when saving. The platform also provides integration with e-commerce platforms in some areas to facilitate users to purchase these ingredients. It is worth noting that the new Samsung Food website is very similar to the Whisk website. In addition, the download link to the application still points to Whisk's pages on the Play store and App Store.

Samsung's Bespoke series of refrigerators will also support the app, which can be used on refrigerator screens connected to the Internet. The company also plans to better integrate Bespoke devices, such as microwave ovens and ovens, to make cooking easier and suitable for specific recipes, and to help users set timers, preheat ovens or change cooking settings for Samsung devices.

Samsung has also introduced personalized features through Food AI, such as changing recipes to vegetarian or vegetarian-friendly, balancing nutritional value by changing ingredients, or creating a fusion dish by requiring a Korean version of an Italian dish.

Samsung has ambitious goals for the Samsung Food platform, and the company said it plans to integrate the platform with Samsung healthily by the end of this year to provide users with better nutrition records and diet management. By 2024, Samsung hopes to introduce "visual AI" into Samsung Food, allowing apps to identify food and list its nutritional value through the phone's camera.
