CTOnews.com August 31 news, Loto Technology this morning released the July global LCD TV panel market monthly shipments. In July 2023, global shipments of large-size LCD TV panels were 2050 million pieces (CTOnews.com note: 20.5m pieces), up 7.2% from the same period last year, down 2.3% from the previous month, and the panel shipping area reached 14.7 million square meters, up 22.3% from the same period last year and down 0.8% from the previous year.

In terms of average size, as of July this year, the average size of the global LCD TV panel has reached 49.1 inches, an increase of 0.4 inches from the previous month and 3.4 inches from the same period last year.

TV panel manufacturers from Chinese mainland have long held steady in the global market share of about 70%, with the market share in July rising 1.3% from June to 69.9%, according to the report.

Taiwan panel manufacturers (Innolux Group Chuangchuang, AUO Youda) had a market share of 19.7% in the month, up 2.5% from a year earlier and slightly down 0.7% from a month earlier.

The combined market share of panel factories in Japan and South Korea was 10.4%, with a decline in total volume compared with the previous month.

The specific rankings are as follows:

BOE shipped 5.1 million pieces, up 3% from the same period last year, and continues to take the lead in the 32 -, 43-and 65-inch main size markets.

Huaxing Optoelectronics (CSOT) shipped 4.4 million pieces, ranking second, with a year-on-year increase of 25.8% and 1.2% month-on-month growth of 1.2%. Shipments of products with two key sizes, 55 inches and 75 inches, remained the first in the world. In addition, the 98-inch oversized panel has a 76% market share.

HKC shipped more than 3.5 million pieces, and the internal share of products with 55 inches or more has increased month by month this year.

AUO (AUO) has a cumulative market share of 32.4% this year, with an advantage of 85-inch panels, and competes with HKC in a "glued" state.

SHARP had a market share of only 7% that month.
