According to the report, in order to completely change the NAND core equipment supply chain next year, all major NAND production bases are actively conducting equipment operation tests.

Earlier, foreign media had reported that Samsung Electronics 'semiconductor product inventory increased to a certain extent in the first half of this year. At the end of the first half, the inventory of the company's equipment solutions division had increased to 33.69 trillion won, up from 29.06 trillion won at the end of last year.

During its earnings call for the second quarter of this year, Samsung Electronics executives said the company plans to continue cutting production of memory chips, especially NAND flash memory, in the second half of the year to accelerate inventory normalization.

Last week, industry sources said the company would implement massive production cuts in order to reduce NAND inventories, with the goal of bringing inventories down to normal levels by the end of the year, or six to eight weeks.

On August 21 this year, industry sources revealed that Samsung Electronics is introducing the latest equipment from Tokyo Electronics (TEL) to its NAND production line at its third factory (P3) in Pyeongtaek Park. The TEL equipment purchased by the company is etching equipment for the entire semiconductor process.
