CTOnews.com, August 30 (Xinhua) according to China Railway officials, the Nanning-Libo section of the new Guiyang-Nanning high-speed railway will be opened for operation on August 31, while the Guiyang-Libo section will be opened for operation on August 8. In other words, the Guinan high-speed railway will be fully operational tomorrow.

According to reports, the Guinan high-speed railway is an important part of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network Baotou (Yinchuan) to Haikou, with a total length of 482 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

Officials mentioned that at the initial stage of the opening of the Guinan high-speed railway, the National Railway Group will arrange the operation of trains according to the daily line, weekend line and peak line, with 56 trains running at the highest level in a single day. Nanning to Guiyang, Chengdu, Chongqing and other places will operate direct bullet trains, and the travel time from Nanning east to Guiyang east will be shortened from more than 5 hours to 2 hours and 53 minutes at the earliest. The fastest time from Nanning to the east of Chengdu and the west of Chongqing is 6 hours 51 minutes and 5 hours 17 minutes respectively.

According to CTOnews.com inquiry, Guinan high-speed railway runs south from Longli North Station of Guiyang Railway Hub through Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, Hechi City and Nanning City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region, and connects to Nanning East Railway Hub. There are 13 stations in Guiyang North, Longlibei, Guiding County, Duyun East, Dushan, Libo, Huanjiang, Hechi West, Yongan Town, du'an, Mashan County, Nanning North and Nanning East. Except for the north of Guiyang and the east of Nanning, all the stations are newly built or renovated.

The Guinan high-speed rail project, which began in December 2017, crosses the Guizhou Plateau, Miaoling Mountains, Qingshui River, Chengjiang River, Hongshui River and other rivers. The ratio of lines to bridges and tunnels is as high as 90%.
