CTOnews.com August 30 news, Data.ai and IDC recently released the "2023 Game Focus" report, which said that this year's global mobile game revenue will reach 108 billion US dollars (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 787.32 billion yuan), ahead of the traditional PC and game console market, while PC game console market revenue is expected to grow 4%.

The report attributed this growth to Sony PS5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X.| Increase in global "consumer spending."

PC / Mac gaming market revenue is expected to grow 4% year-on-year this year to $40 billion (currently about 291.6 billion yuan). Data.ai said that "game subscription services" will lead the industry's "consumer spending", while the report predicts that global "cloud gaming revenue" across all platforms will reach $3.8 billion in 2023 (currently about 27.702 billion yuan).

At the same time, the report said revenue from game consoles (including Nintendo Switch and V Steam Deck devices) is expected to fall 20% to less than $3 billion (currently about 21.87 billion yuan).

Data.ai noted that this is due to the decline in the appeal of Nintendo Switch Lite to consumers, but consumer interest in V's Steam Deck, ROG's Ally and other game consoles is expected to offset the overall market revenue decline.
