CTOnews.com August 30 news, according to uncle party Nick Baker (YouTube channel XboxEra founder) revealed that "War Machines 6" will become an open world game.

He shared the message in the latest episode of the Xbox Era podcast, translated by CTOnews.com as follows:

I don't have much information yet, but I've heard what some players expect. I heard that Gears of War 6 is going to be a complete, almost completely open world game. I know Gears of War 5 has taken a step in that direction and Gears of War 6 will take it to another level.

CTOnews.com previously reported that voice actor Liam McIntyre had not heard of Epic and Microsoft having plans to develop a Gears of War 6 game.

Liam McIntyre voices the in-game character JD Fenix, and CTOnews.com translates the interview as follows: "I really haven't heard anything about it! It's not because I signed a confidentiality agreement and couldn't disclose it, but because I really didn't know."

Given the outcome of Gears of War 5, McIntyre may not return, and players will have to choose between saving Fenix or Dell in the sequel.
