Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen knsgccxr for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, August 30 (Xinhua)-- Ericsson China recently announced that Ericsson set a record download speed of 5.7Gbps (CTOnews.com Note: 712.5 MB/s) in the world's first 6CC data call by aggregating six component carriers-bringing 5G carrier aggregation performance to a new level.
According to reports, with the help of Ericsson's RAN Compute hardware, carrier aggregation software and advanced RAN coordination functions, Ericsson completed the data call using three FDD (frequency division duplex) bands and three TDD (time division duplex) bands in sub-6GHz.
In the laboratory, Ericsson tested the 3FDD + 3TDD carrier aggregation by using a user equipment (UE) simulator. By combining the FDD spectrum with the TDD spectrum, more users can obtain the gain brought by carrier aggregation.
This test achieves 5.7Gbps throughput by aggregating 400MHz bandwidth and 20MHz-to-50MHz FDD bandwidth. With 6CC capabilities, operators can optimize the use of network and spectrum assets to provide higher data rates and capacity, thereby improving the application experience focused on the following lines.
