CTOnews.com August 30 news, Bloomberg Mark Gulman in the latest issue of Power On newsletter, broke the news that Apple has been scheduled for September 13 at 1 a.m. fall launch conference, in addition to the launch of four iPhone 15 series equipped with USB-C port, will also launch new AirPods equipped with USB-C port.

Gulman said in the newsletter: "Apple will update AirPods products at the launch to match the new iPhone, one of the highlights of which is the USB-C port."

Gulman did not disclose more information about the USB-C version of AirPods, and it was not possible to confirm whether it was AirPods Standard or AirPods Pro, or whether there were any changes other than the USB-C port.

CTOnews.com Note: Apple launched the third generation AirPods in October 2021; the second generation AirPods Pro headphones in September 2022.

Apple last year updated the USB-C port of Siri Remote, if according to this trend, in the foreseeable future, including AirPods Max, MagSafe battery pack, wonderful control keyboard, wonderful control mouse and other peripherals, digital products will switch to USB-C port.
