According to the US technology media The Information, due to Sony's limited supply capacity, Apple is "evaluating" the possibility of using BOE and Vision Technology as Micro-OLED display suppliers in the future Vision Pro, involving a new generation of Vision Pro and the internal code name N109, which is currently in the early stage of development.

The report said the process involved Apple stress testing of the two companies in accordance with "strict quality control standards and technical specifications."

It is said that Apple is now too dependent on Sony as the sole supplier of Vision Pro displays, while Sony currently can only produce less than 1 million Micro-OLED displays a year, and each Vision Pro needs two.

Foreign media pointed out that the introduction of a second or third supplier for Vision Pro could significantly increase production and help Apple reduce the basic cost of its hardware in the future.

In fact, Chinese companies have been deeply integrated into Apple's Vision Pro production process. Companies such as Lance Technology and Genius Electron Optics are key contributors to the production of the product, and Lixun Precision has replaced Pegatron as the main assembler of the device.
