CTOnews.com, August 29, Samsung Electronics today announced a new software update for Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Samsung Smart TV, extending the LE Audio function to Samsung TV, which uses Auracast broadcast audio technology, so that it can transmit rich and complex audio to nearby Bluetooth devices.

According to reports, Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro headphones and Samsung 2023 Neo QLED 8K TV and 2023 MICRO LED TV Auracast broadcast audio technology will be pushed through software updates from September this year. The new LE Audio feature allows users to connect multiple sets of Buds to a TV, whereas previously users could only connect up to two devices.

As previously reported by IT House, the Bluetooth LE Audio specification was announced in early 2020. Bluetooth LE Audio new generation Bluetooth audio technology standard can not only improve the standard Bluetooth audio performance, but also a variety of new application cases. Its main feature is that it contains a new LC3 audio codec with high quality and high energy efficiency.

The LC3 encoder transmits data through a low-power synchronization channel (LE Isochronous Channels) and uses new middleware to provide and control audio content. For consumers, LE Audio technology is more energy efficient, supports smaller Bluetooth audio devices, extends battery life, and is compatible with existing aptX protocols. LE Audio can realize audio listening, video playback, voice / video calls and intelligent voice assistant control. It integrates multi-stream audio function and broadcast audio function, which allows users to share audio with multiple devices and share them on multiple Bluetooth speakers or headsets. In addition, the location-based audio sharing function allows group visitors to listen to shared Bluetooth audio lectures in museums, gallery and other public places. This feature can also be used in the conference center.
