However, Recurring Auto recently conducted an in-depth survey of more than 12500 Tesla cars in the US market, and found that there is little difference in the impact of DC and AC on battery life, and the battery life curves of the two ways are statistically similar.

CTOnews.com note: this report tracked 4400 Tesla Model Y models and 6300 Model 3 models, and compared the decline curves of battery health when the DC fast charge ratio was more than 90% and less than 10%, indicating that the curves of the two charging methods were statistically similar.

The report points out that extreme temperature, too high voltage or too low voltage cause more damage to battery life than AC / DC charging methods. Recurring believes that electric vehicle manufacturers should strengthen their heat dissipation and voltage systems so that their batteries can have a longer service life.
