CTOnews.com learned from the report that the number of computer and Internet books purchased by users under the age of 15 increased by 143%. By 16-25-year-olds, popular science books increased by 150%, management books increased nearly threefold, and foreign language learning books bought by people aged 26-35 increased by more than 200%.

Under the influence of popular movies and TV dramas, the popularity of the original books of long Acacia continues to rise, and bibliographies such as the children's picture book "butt Detective", the western fantasy novel Harry Potter, and the Chinese classic "A Dream of Red Mansions" have attracted wide attention.

Among the categories with the highest growth in female consumption in 2023, "self-improvement" books increased by 132%; among the top 10 categories of female consumption in 2023, business management and training books increased the largest; female consumption of "male self-help" books increased by 128%, higher than 93% of male users.

According to the data, male consumption of books on early childhood psychology increased by 302%, higher than that of women by 171%, and physiological / neuropsychology increased by 129%. Among the key categories with the highest growth in male consumption in 2023, the consumption of books on oriental philosophy, which helps to sublimate thinking and reshape the pattern, increased by as much as 401%.

Compared with 2022, male users' preference for detective / mystery novels decreased by 11% in 2023, while female users increased by 11%. For travel / rebirth / overhead novels, male users increased by 29% and female users decreased by 32%.

According to the report, urban white-collar workers love to read detective novels, accounting for 40% of the total population; the fastest growing reading category for financial practitioners in 2023 is animation, of which "classic animation" and "game animation" increased by 490% and 134% respectively.
