CTOnews.com August 29, according to foreign technology media Chrome Unboxed reports, Google is about to launch a "Chromebook Plus" certification, by controlling device specifications, system functions, software ecology, etc., to build a better consumer experience.

CTOnews.com reported in June that Google plans to launch a high-end Chromebook X brand with stringent requirements on software and hardware. According to the latest Chromium Gerrit proposal information, the brand should be called "Chromebook Plus".

The report says that Chromebook Plus will be a complete authentication scheme, although there is no definite information, estimates require Chromebook to be equipped with Intel 12-generation processors or AMD Zen 2 + and later processors, as well as memory capacity requirements.

In addition to raising the hardware threshold, Chromebook Plus will also provide exclusive software features such as real-time subtitles and virtual background for video conferencing, up to 16 virtual desktops, and Google cloud hard disk files fixed offline.

Google will not make any Chromebook Plus laptops on its own, but will be in charge of a third-party PC manufacturer. These PC manufacturers need to follow Google's hardware standards to ensure that Chromebook Plus provides better performance and experience.
