Microsoft recently released the results of a survey that concluded that the blue screen failure was not caused by an optional update in August.

Microsoft hinted that the problem was caused by the incompatibility of the device firmware, saying that affected users could contact the brand manufacturer for a solution.

After investigating users' blue screen reports, we found that the "UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR" blue screen error was not caused by an optional update KB5029351 in August, and the survey found that it was limited to specific processors.

We have worked with the equipment manufacturer (OEM) to further solve this problem. As a temporary mitigation, we will not push KB5029351 updates to Win11 devices that have an impact. If you still encounter the above problems, please contact your processor manufacturer.
