CTOnews.com, Aug. 29, according to the latest blog post by Facades app developer Michael Steeber, Apple opened eight new stores this year as of August this year. Apple opened only six new stores in 2022 and eight in 2021.

Apple opened new stores this year in Gangnam, South Korea, Mumbai and New Delhi, India, and London, England. Compared with 2012, Apple slowed down the pace of opening new stores in 2017 and began to repair existing stores, according to charts posted by the blog post.

The chart shows that Apple opened 40 new stores in 2012, but shrank to 20 in 2016, and that number declined further after 2017.

The second picture shows the number of repairs to existing Apple Store stores, indicating that Apple began to focus on repairing existing stores in 2016.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Apple plans to build and renovate 53 retail stores by 2027.

It is reported that Apple plans to open 15 new stores in the Asia-Pacific region, including three in India, one in Malaysia, two in South Korea and one in Jing'an Temple Square in Shanghai.
