Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Wu Yanzu in South China for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, August 28 (Xinhua)-- Starry Sky is a much-anticipated open world science fiction role-playing game developed and released by Bethesda. It will be released on September 1, the first new IP for Bethesda in more than 20 years. However, a 29-year-old American man, Darling Harris, was arrested for stealing a copy of the game and selling it online.

According to the website of the Sheriff's Office of Shelby County, Tennessee, Harris was arrested on Aug. 24 and faces larceny worth between $2500 and $10000 and less than $1000, as well as a misdemeanor of possession of marijuana.

Harris first released the first 45 minutes of the game "Star" online on Aug. 22, and the rough phone-recorded video was widely reposted on various social media sites. It is worth mentioning that the video shows that Harris does not seem to know how to play games.

Harris then began selling copies of the game on Japanese e-commerce platform Mercari, including the highly sought-after constellation version, with a custom space-style watch, and messages showed that several copies of the game had been sold.

Harris then released some videos that seemed to show him going to FedEx to pay to send copies that had been successfully sold. One video shows him putting a label on the package with a pile of copies of the "starry sky" on the seat next to him. Many netizens thought it was a hoax, after all, how he got so many copies of the game that had not yet been released, but Harris denied it.

CTOnews.com noticed that around August 24, Harris began cleaning up his social media account, including deleting all his videos on YouTube. But it may be too late, and it is not clear whether Bethesda or Microsoft reported Harris's behavior to the local police.
