The two standards are under the guidance of the Shanghai Administration of Communications, and more than 20 standard drafting units led by Shanghai Mobile and China Communications Institute have been jointly compiled and officially issued and implemented by the Shanghai Automobile Internet Association.

The project "Network performance and Construction acceptance of 5G vehicles supporting High-level self-driving" was launched on March 31. Closed preparation and completion of the first draft were carried out from May 31 to June 2, expert review was conducted from June 20 to 21, and a standard technical review meeting was held by the Shanghai Automobile Internet Association on August 14, which was unanimously approved by the experts attending the meeting.

The release of the group bid "is not only the end of the preparation of the two standards, but also the starting point of the standardization of 5G vehicle networking," officials said.
