CTOnews.com, August 28 (Xinhua)-- one month after the launch of Apple's Vision Pro, a headset that combines virtual reality and augmented reality, the U.S. Patent Office has released two patents for game consoles filed by Apple, one of which is shown in the figure below. According to PatentlyApple, although the patent itself does not guarantee that Apple will launch a game console, Apple has also applied for a trademark for the game console, suggesting that it is possible for Apple to equip the Apple Vision Pro with game consoles to make up for its shortcomings in the future.

In addition, Apple has updated the Apple Vision Pro trademark to extend its international classification to a number of areas. The international classification of trademarks is an important basis for the protection of trademark rights. if the scope of use of the trademark goes beyond the classification originally applied for, then the trademark may become invalid. Apple lost a lawsuit in April this year because of the conflict between the trademark "Apple Jazz" and another category of goods.

The new trademarks Apple applied for for Apple Vision Pro include the following:

International classification 028: electronic handheld game consoles; computer game consoles; video game interactive handheld remote controls for playing video games; game controllers for computer games; game console controllers; protective suitcases for hand-held video games.

International Classification 018: boxes made of leather or artificial leather; straps made of leather or artificial leather; lanyards made of leather or artificial leather; wallets made of leather or artificial leather; key bags made of leather or artificial leather.

CTOnews.com noted that in addition to the two newly announced patents, Apple has previously applied for other types of game controller patents, which show Apple's interest and investment in the gaming field.

Apple's legal department also submitted an update to its Apple Vision Pro trademark in Hong Kong. Trademark Application # 306302709 covers 18 international categories (suitcases, belts, etc.); 28 handheld game consoles; 27 for repair and maintenance; and 41 for educational services, developer training, interactive games and video games. Trademark Application # 306322518 covers 14 international categories (watches and timekeeping instruments, watches and jewelry; 35 categories cover computer software, accessories, subscriptions, etc.).
