CTOnews.com, August 27 (Xinhua)-- compared with Apple's planned release of the iPhone 15 series of phones in September, the new generation of Mac computers may not receive as much attention.

Today, Bloomberg's Mark Goolman (Mark Gurman) revealed his expectations for Apple's September and October launches.

He hinted that Apple might only announce the launch of Mac products directly through a press release in October, rather than holding a big launch event like iPhone.

"as far as I know, the process of the launch will be the same as that of the iPhone 14 launch, and Apple will still play a pre-recorded video at the launch," he said. "in addition, there will be an launch in October-possibly the first M3 Mac-but it is not clear whether this will be positioned as an official launch event."

As far as CTOnews.com knows, Apple's M2 MacBook Pro and M2 Mac mini didn't hold an announcement, but launched it directly in the form of a press release.

And historically, most Intel MacBook Pro and iMac launched upgrades through press releases shortly after the new product was released.

Over the past decade, Apple has held launch events in October in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2021, but not in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022.

Apple is expected to move the Mac from M2 to M3 this fall, followed by upgraded M3 Pro, M3 Max and M3 Ultra platforms.

Referring to previous conventions, Apple usually releases models such as the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the 13-inch MacBook Air and the Mac mini.

In addition, the 24-inch iMac also needs an upgrade, after all, it has missed the M2 generation. Of course, Apple's newly launched 15-inch MacBook Air only carries the M2 chip, but there is a good chance that it will not launch an M3 upgrade any time soon.
