CTOnews.com, August 27 (Xinhua) during the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz officially announced that it has started the construction of the first batch of supercharging stations with charging power up to 480kW in China. The world's first Mercedes-Benz supercharging station will be opened and put into use in Chengdu in October this year.

In addition to Chengdu, other sites will also be launched this year, including Beijing, Shenzhen and other core new energy vehicle market. The first Mercedes-Benz supercharging stations will be adjacent to Mercedes-Benz authorized dealerships.

The official said that the charging power 480kW of the super charging station, taking the station with four charging piles as an example, the total power of a single station can be as high as 600kW, and is equipped with intelligent power dispatching technology, which can realize the dynamic distribution of power among the charging piles according to the charging needs of the vehicle, and reduce the waiting time for charging by car owners.

In addition, the charging station will also be open to other brands of vehicles, in which Mercedes-Benz customers can enjoy a series of benefits, including charging pile booking, plug and play charging and so on.

So far, Mercedes-Benz will provide Chinese customers with a variety of charging services, including brand charging network (overcharging and fast charging), home intelligent charging wall boxes, one-stop interconnected public charging services, emergency road rescue and one-click power-up services.

CTOnews.com noted that Mercedes-Benz continued to expand its lineup of new energy products, and pure electric EQS, pure electric EQE, EQS pure electric SUV and new EQE pure electric SUV were unveiled at the auto show. In addition, at the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show, the new Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC + went on sale at 1.9998 million yuan.
