Changes and improvements [General] [reminder] Internal Preview version expires: starting with Build 23526, the expiration date of the internal preview version sent to the developer channel has been updated to September 15, 2024. Users need to ensure that they have updated to the latest version in the development channel.

[search on the taskbar] reintroduces the search experience. When the user hovers over the flicker of the search box, the user can call the search and fly out of the window. You can right-click on the taskbar and select "taskbar Settings". Users can adjust the search box experience according to their preferences.

Fix [General] fixed a problem that prevented explorer.exe from running in safe mode.

[file Explorer] fixed an issue that could cause explorer.exe to crash when closing File Explorer.

Fixed an issue where File Explorer crashed when navigating to the Gallery if there were a large number of pictures.

Fixed an issue where the autotype search box did not work when File Explorer was opened to the home page.

Fixed an error code that may occur if you try to copy and paste files from a compressed folder into an OneDrive folder.

[HD background] fixed an issue that may cause blurring of HDR wallpapers when HDR is enabled.

[task Manager] fixed an issue where the Task Manager window could not be moved with touch or pen.

Fixed an issue where the task manager crashed when using the reset to default button in Settings.

Fixed a problem that caused sporadic crashes when using Task Manager, including when ending a task.

Fixed an issue where if you search and then clear it, even if there is no search, the view will still be filtered.

Fixed an issue where the search icon in the title bar overlapped with the task manager text.

Some steps have been taken to help improve performance when switching between different pages in the Task Manager.

Updated the summary view of the performance page (double-click the chart in the navigation pane to see it) to make the window smaller.

Note: some fixes in the developer Channel Insider Preview version mentioned here may be included in the service update for the official version of Windows 11.

Some applications under "all applications" on the known problem [start menu] start menu (such as PWA applications installed through Microsoft Edge) may be incorrectly marked as system components.

[search on taskbar] when you mouse over the search box, the tooltip sometimes does not match the current search highlight.

[Windows Copilot] users can switch out Windows Copilot using Alt + Tab key, but cannot switch back to Windows Copilot. Windows + C shifts the focus back to Windows Copilot.

After you start Copilot for the first time or refresh it when using voice access, you need to use the Show Grid command to click "ask me questions" for the first time.
