I want to import it into vmware for testing, and I quickly encounter the first problem: when I imported the ova file into vmware Times, I made a mistake, and the error is as follows:

I tried to relax the OVF specification and virtual hardware compliance checks, but reported another error, as follows:

I found a lot of tutorials on the Internet, such as downloading vtools again, unzipping the ova file and changing the SHA1 value of the vmdx file, and so on. After trying, I found that it did not work. After consulting many students, I did not find an effective solution.

Solution method

When you unzip the ova file, you will get two files with suffixes of ovf and vmdx. Use notepad to open the ovf file and change the following statement to the corresponding vmware version. For example, if I am using version 15.5, change it to

Virtual Hardware Family 0 DC-1 vmx-15.5

After importing the extracted ovf file, the error will be prompted for the first time. Click retry.

Other

After solving the above problems, I also encountered other problems. I couldn't catch the three-way handshake between my two virtual machines because my virtual machine network set host-only mode. in this way, there is no way to catch the package of the virtual machine on the physical host, because the corresponding virtual network card will not be generated on the physical host. You need to change the network card to NAT mode.
