CTOnews.com, August 25 (Xinhua)-- hardware prototype consultant Ken Pillonel has created a transparent charging box for Apple AirPods Pro using transparent SLA resin through 3D printing technology.

Pillonel talked about the original intention of the project, saying that it is to make modern consumers pay more attention to the repairability and sustainability of electronic products.

Pillonel uses a Formlabs Form 3 + printer and uses SLA resin as a material to create the shell parts of the AirPods Pro charging box, which is then cleaned with IPA.

After Pillonel fixed the parts, they were then polished with sandpaper of 400,600,800 and 1000 granularity, and the parts were regularly immersed in water to help with cleaning and progress evaluation.

Pillonel applied a transparent spray paint on the parts. The spray converts the assembly from opaque to completely transparent, achieving the desired transparent appearance. CTOnews.com embeds the video here as follows:
