CTOnews.com August 24 news, domestic x86 chip company Haiguang Information tonight released the 2023 semi-annual report. Haiguang Information said that Haiguang CPU (general processor) and DCU (Haiguang coprocessor) products have excellent performance and are in a leading position in China.

During the reporting period, the company achieved operating income of 2.612 billion yuan, an increase of 3.24% over the same period last year; net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was 677 million yuan, up 42.35% over the same period last year; net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies after deducting non-recurring profits and losses was 619 million yuan, an increase of 42.00% over the same period last year; basic earnings per share is 0.29 yuan per share.

At the close of trading today, Haiguang Information shares rose 1.58 per cent to 50.69 yuan per share, with a market capitalization of 115.984 billion yuan.

Haiguang Information, which was founded in 2014, belongs to the same department of Chinese department as another domestic CPU dragon core. As soon as the company was established, it received angel round financing from dawning of China Science and Technology, National Science Holdings and so on. Among them, dawning of Chinese Science and Technology is a listed company under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which has developed for more than 20 years and is in a leading position in technology and market share.

It is understood that Haiguang CPU series products are compatible with x86 instruction sets and international mainstream operating systems and application software, and have been widely used in telecommunications, finance, Internet, education, transportation and other important industries or fields.

Haiguang DCU series products are based on GPGPU architecture, compatible with general CUDA-like environment, international mainstream business computing software and artificial intelligence software, and can be widely used in big data processing, artificial intelligence, business computing and other application fields.

Haiguang Information said that the company has developed a number of high-performance mainstream high-end processor-level products. During the reporting period, Haiguang CPU series products Haiguang No. 3 is the main sales product, Haiguang No. 4 and Haiguang No. 5 are in the stage of research and development; Haiguang DCU series products deep count No. 1 is the company's main GPGPU products for sale, Deep calculation No. 2 is about to be released, and Deep calculation No. 3 research and development is progressing smoothly. The company's new products accelerate iteration, and the performance continues to improve, and the R & D team continues to achieve breakthroughs in high-end processor design, SoC architecture design, processor security, processor verification, high-frequency and low-power processor implementation, high-end chip IP design, process physical design, advanced packaging design, basic software and other key technologies.

According to the financial report, during the reporting period, the company applied for 187 new intellectual property projects (including 131 invention patents), and a total of 297 intellectual property projects were granted (including 224 invention patents). By the end of the reporting period, the company had accumulated 550 invention patents, 81 utility model patents, 3 design patents, 200 integrated circuit layout-design registration certificates and 206 software copyrights. At present, a total of 1898 intellectual property projects have been applied for.

CTOnews.com noted that in the first half of this year, Haiguang Information's total R & D investment reached 1.229978 billion yuan, an increase of 36.87% over the same period last year; the proportion of total R & D investment in operating income reached 47.10%, an increase of 11.58% over the same period last year.
