Chinese smartphone manufacturers play an important role in driving the growth of the folding screen market. With a mature supply chain and software ecosystem, including close cooperation with Chinese Internet partners and a continuous lineup of products, China has leapt to become the world's largest folding screen smartphone market, with a global share of 26 per cent in 2022. Counterpoint predicts that Chinese smartphone brands will continue to lead the domestic folding screen mobile phone market and further gain more market share through overseas expansion.

According to Counterpoint's forecast, global smartphone shipments with folding screens will see strong growth. From 2019 to 2025, its compound annual growth rate will reach 114%, of which 2025 will quadruple from 2022 to 55 million.
