Manufacturers shipped 9.5 million smartphones in the Middle East, excluding Turkey, up 2 per cent year-on-year in the quarter.

In this quarter, the top five manufacturers' shipments and market share were Samsung, Transonic, Xiaomi, Apple and realme, respectively.

▲ figure source Canalys, the same as Saudi Arabia, smartphone shipments rose 19% year-on-year, the United Arab Emirates increased 6% year-on-year, and Iraq increased 24%.

Smartphone shipments in Israel fell 19 per cent year-on-year in the quarter, 15 per cent in Kuwait and 23 per cent in Qatar. Both countries shipped less than 500000 units.

Tencent's Infinix and Tecno focus on low-and middle-end product lines, achieving growth in Iraq, Saudi Arabia and other places.

With the advantages of diversified models, e-commerce and brick-and-mortar stores, Xiaomi has defended its market share.

Glory has achieved significant growth thanks to targeted marketing strategies, the release of influential products and the diversified layout of middle and high-end products.

Motorola has also achieved significant growth thanks to a wide range of product offerings, especially its new models and strong brand awareness.
