Micron donations will be used for community needs such as first-line relief, local supplies and post-disaster reconstruction, the announcement said. In addition, Micron also actively unites its global team members to raise more donations through employee donations.

Dee Mooney, executive director of Micron Foundation, said: "Typhoons Du Suri and Khanu brought severe disasters to many parts of China, and the Chinese government carried out rapid emergency relief operations after the disasters. Micron announced in June that it plans to invest more than 4.3 billion yuan in the Xi'an plant over the next few years to build new plants and introduce more new and high-performance packaging and testing equipment to better meet the needs of Chinese customers. The investment will also create 500 additional jobs, bringing Micron's total workforce in China to more than 4500.
