CTOnews.com, August 24 (Xinhua) Last month, Apple began setting up Vision Pro developer labs in Cupertino, London, Munich, Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo so that developers can get started with the head display as soon as possible. The one-day lab allows developers to test and optimize their applications on VisionOS, and Apple employees can help with setup and troubleshooting.

Apple today released feedback from developers who have participated in the lab, all of whom are full of praise for Vision Pro. David Smith, developer of the Widgetsmith app, said: "I can only see this in the simulator before, but it's just a box. When you see your app actually running for the first time, you will be amazed." "it's like seeing a fantasy movie for the first time," said Michael Simmons, developer of the Fantastical and Cardhop apps. "it feels like I'm part of the app. Experiential space computing not only validates the design we thought of before, but also makes us think about the possibility of going beyond boundaries, not just left and right or up and down."

Any registered Apple developer over the age of 18 can apply to join the Vision Pro Lab on Apple's website. Labs in different locations have different dates and will end at the end of September at the latest. Applicants must have a new visionOS application under development, or an existing iPadOS or iOS application, and give priority to those applications specifically optimized for Vision Pro.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman previously reported that he had heard that the lab had a small number of participants, "only a small number of developers," but over time, more people might be interested.

Apple's Vision Pro, which will be available in the United States in early 2024 and in other countries later that year, will sell for $3499 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 25543 yuan).
