CTOnews.com August 23 news, as early as 2021, Qualcomm released Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 handset processor, carried by Thunder Snake Razer Edge handset. Now, Qualcomm has expanded the lineup of Snapdragon G series handset chips, announcing Snapdragon G1 Gen 1, G2 Gen 1 and G3x Gen 2 processors.

According to reports, Qualcomm Snapdragon G1 series processors are designed for cloud games, G2 positioning mainstream mobile games, G3 positioning flagship level.

Qualcomm's new chip uses a new GPU naming method, called Adreno A11, Adreno A21 and Adreno A32, respectively, which distinguishes the GPU performance of all three chips.

Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 SoC uses 8-core Kryo CPU and Adreno A32 GPU. According to Qualcomm, CPU speed is increased by 30%, graphics performance is twice as high as its predecessor, and supports 144Hz refresh rate and hardware-based ray tracing.

Snapdragon G1 Gen 1 and G2 Gen 1 also adopted 8-core Kryo CPU. In terms of GPU, G2 Gen 1 uses Adreno A21 GPU and supports 144Hz refresh rate, but does not support RayTracing. G1 uses Adreno A11 GPU to support 60Hz refresh rate.

Qualcomm said it was working with manufacturers AYANEO, Huaqin, Inerda and Thundercomm to produce consumer-grade devices that use the chip.

As reported earlier by IT House, AYANEO has now announced its first Pocket S Android handset with Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 processor, which was officially launched in December.
