It is expected to dock with the "Star" service module of the Russian section of the International Space Station in 25 days, and will transport about 2.5 tons of cargo for the International Space Station.

This is the third launch of the Russian Progress MS spacecraft this year and the sixth launch of Baikonur Space Port. The rocket is decorated with designs commemorating the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Russian city of Yekaterinburg and the 100th anniversary of the birth of intercontinental ballistic missile and spacecraft designer Vladimir Vladimir Utkin.

According to reports, the spacecraft was loaded with all kinds of cargo and equipment, such as more than 1.5 tons of goods for the crew to use and maintain the space station system, 0.5 tons of fuel, 420 kilograms of drinking water and 40 kilograms of nitrogen, and so on.

In addition, Progress-24 also carries some experimental equipment, used to predict natural and man-made disasters, monitor weather conditions, explore the effects of space flight on human organs, analyze crew cooperation, study the effects of the Earth's magnetic field on microorganisms, cultivate protein crystals, and assemble equipment for probiotic fermentation in space.
