CTOnews.com, August 23, according to a list published by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple recently obtained a patent for Apple Watch-related technology. The biggest highlight is that it is equipped with a color sampling sensor, which can change the color and theme automatically according to the watch band and clothing.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that the front of the Apple Watch is equipped with a color sampling sensor that can measure the color of external objects.

During color sampling, the wearer needs to face the Apple Watch toward the sampled object and emit a sequence of red, green and blue light. The built-in light sensor will detect the reflection of the above three kinds of light and judge the color by algorithm.

The Apple Watch is equipped with a corresponding control circuit, and the color and theme of the dial can be adjusted accordingly after receiving the color information provided by the color sampler.
