This rumor seems plausible because a recent update to the X app added a tag to display the site's URL above the image of the shared article. Despite advertisers' opposition to the change, Mr Musk intends to press ahead with it.

If this change is really implemented, it will have a great impact on writers, journalists and creators. Although Musk is trying to make Twitter look attractive to journalists, publishing a full article on Twitter has no real benefit.
