CTOnews.com, Aug. 22, according to an internal email posted by X (Twitter) user @ Teslaphx, Tesla has begun to crack down on employees leaking Cybertruck pictures and videos.

The email warned employees and contractors that they would be "deported" immediately if they were found filming anything about Cybertruck or its parts or production lines in the Texas Super Factory (Gigafactory Texas). Tesla forbids them from filming anything related to Cybertruck unless they are officially authorized in advance. The email also reads, "the Cybertruck team will issue photo passes / stickers to appropriate personnel in the future to help speed up photography / camera interaction with the security personnel's business." It should be noted that the authenticity of this email has not been verified.

Many companies have signed confidentiality agreements with their employees to protect their proprietary information from being leaked to public platforms. Some companies even have policies to restrict the use of mobile phones, and at least one National Labor Relations Board ruling supports employers to restrict the use of mobile phones in certain departments and to prevent the disclosure of confidential information.

In the past few months, there have been many leaked and secretly taken pictures inside Tesla's factory, enabling enthusiasts to track the progress of Cybertruck. However, with Tesla now strictly protecting the model, there may be fewer revelations online. A recent photo taken by a drone shows a Model Y safety car protecting two charging Cybertruck, possibly to prevent paparazzi from photographing the truck, but it is difficult to stop the drones from approaching.

Small-scale production of Cybertruck is expected to start later this year, followed by large-scale production in early 2024. According to chief executive Elon Musk, the first delivery of the car is likely to take place at the end of the third quarter of 2023. It is reported that there have been 1.9 million bookings for the car.
