According to reports, the off-road super hybrid architecture Hi4-T is developed based on 33 years of experience of Great Wall Automobile, using tank exclusive longitudinal parallel structure, equipped with 2.0T+9HAT hybrid combination, 2.0T engine maximum net power 180kW, maximum torque 380N ·m. 9HAT hybrid special gearbox integrates high-voltage 120kW high-power P2 hybrid motor, which works with the engine to cut the peak and fill the valley, cut off the peak of fuel consumption, and make the comprehensive power of the whole system reach 300kW and the comprehensive torque up to 750N ·m.

On this basis, the tank 400Hi4-T retains a new generation of intelligent four-wheel drive system with Mlock mechanical locking function, which can switch between two-wheel drive (2H), intelligent four-wheel drive (AWD), high-speed four-wheel drive (4H) and low-speed four-wheel drive (4L).

In terms of battery life, the tank 400Hi4-T is equipped with 37.1kWh power battery, which lasts longer than 100km under WLTC operating conditions, and has super 50kW super fast charging, which is claimed to take only 24 minutes from 30% 80%, and supports external discharge.

In addition, the tank 400Hi4-T also supports approach angle 33 °, departure angle 30 °, minimum ground clearance 224mm, 800mm wading depth and so on.

The tank 400Hi4-T uses a new "functional design", which claims to be like the front face of a future soldier, with fierce riveted eyebrows and a functional rear shape. The interior of the car is equipped with 12.3in LCD instrument + 16.2 inch central control screen + HUD look-up display + streaming media rearview mirror, and the second row of seats are put down to provide flat space.
