LibreOffice Writer has made some improvements. Users can find a new page number wizard on the insert menu, which simplifies the process of adding page numbers to the header or footer of a document. Another useful addition is the ability to edit bibliographic entries directly from the bibliographic list. Another new feature is that in the new version, bibliographic entries are automatically linked to rows in the bibliographic table. Other changes include generating chart catalogs based on paragraph styles, no longer just based on category and object names, and pipeline support to build Zotero-like features.

LibreOffice Calc supports new PivotTable reports for compact layouts and drawing styles for shapes and annotations. The copied spreadsheet retains the user-defined page ranking, and the solver settings are now saved with the document. There is also a new option to sort / filter by color, and the text import dialog box has a new "detection scientific notation" option to detect numbers in scientific notation.

LibreOffice Impress and Draw come with modified automatic text scaling algorithms that work similar to applications in Microsoft Office. There is also a new navigation panel for switching slides and improved CJK and Arabic font management.

All LibreOffice applications support the import and export of document themes, as well as theme definitions for ODF and OOXML documents. Support for right-to-left scripting, CJK, and several Asian alphabet font processing has also been fully improved.
