As part of a replacement project for GN5 IP / MPLS routing and switching, G É ANT will be the first national research and education network (NREN) in the world to deploy an 800 GE routing interface and triple network capacity.

According to the terms of the agreement, Nomios and Nokia will undertake a comprehensive replacement and upgrade of G É ANT's existing IP / MPLS routing and switching infrastructure, ensuring enhanced scalability, security and reliability of G É ANT network operations. In addition, Nomios and Nokia will provide comprehensive support and maintenance services to ensure the operation of G É ANT and its user base.

Nokia 7750 SR service router IP / MPLS platform is based on self-developed FP5 network processing chip, supporting 800G transmission. Compared with the previous generation routing chipset, the energy consumption of FP5 per unit information processing is reduced by 75%.
