According to the official news of the National Space Administration, the satellite has successfully entered the working orbit after four orbit changes. The synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) antenna has been successfully deployed, and the main work of the initial flight control test of the satellite has been completed. The satellite is in normal working condition and in good condition, and the in-orbit test will continue to be carried out later.

According to the National Space Administration, compared with Leo satellites and optical satellites, the satellite is equipped with synthetic aperture radar observation equipment. The working principle of this kind of radar is different from that of other optical remote sensing satellites. It emits electromagnetic waves to the earth, and then receives and parses the electromagnetic waves reflected from the earth, so as to obtain radar images with a lot of information. So the satellite can image without the help of light, and can penetrate the clouds to observe the world under the clouds.

The official account of ▲ China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation said that the satellite can combine the advantages of short revisit period and wide imaging range of high-orbit observation with the advantages of microwave observation free of climate (all-weather) and light (all-day), and can improve the identification accuracy and efficiency of disaster abnormal change information and enhance the comprehensive prevention and control capability of natural disasters.
