The latest version 2308, which is now available for download from Microsoft's official website, is available in four formats for a variety of virtualization software, based on the latest cumulative update Windows 11 version 22621.2134 released earlier this month.

The virtual machine allows users to use Windows 11 Enterprise Edition for 90 days free of charge, and also includes the software environment needed to develop applications for Windows 11:

Visual Studio 2022 Community Edition, which supports UWP, .NET Desktop, Azure, and Windows application SDK for C# workloads.

Linux subsystem WSL 2, which installs Ubuntu by default.

Windows Terminal terminal.

Enable developer mode.

Users can download and run the Windows development environment using VMware (Workstation Player and Workstation Pro), VirtualBox, Parallels, or Hyper-V, and the virtual machine can be used for 90 days for free, after which an activation reminder will appear, but the user cannot really activate it because the virtual machine is only an evaluation version of the system.

Version 2308 of the Windows development environment is valid until November 7, 2023. CTOnews.com partners can go to the official Microsoft website and choose the format they want. Note that downloading WDE requires at least the free space of 70GB and the memory of 8GB.
